CDFG report: Shasta coho face extinction 2/23/10
“With tributary irrigation season set to begin March 1st, we fully support CDFG and its partner agencies in acting swiftly to save the last of the Shasta coho. CDFG has provided great recommendations for improving instream flows and getting cattle out of the Shasta River – we hope they turn into tangible actions as soon as possible.”

Klamath Riverkeeper: Dam Removal Agreements are Best Path Forward 2/18/10
“Without setting and implementing tough clean water rules before dams are removed, we may see 10 more years of toxic algae and dead salmon on the Klamath, and we’re not sure Klamath salmon can survive that. PacifiCorp must be held accountable for their pollution before the dams are removed.”

Klamath Riverkeeper supports dam deal, for now 1/07/10
"Our analysis shows the settlement is the most workable and realistic way to get the dams out, and poses an innovative way to deal with the historic over-allocation of water in the basin."
